SANTA ROSA -- A 22-year-old man who allegedly attempted to set fire to a church was subdued by police with a Taser stun gun and arrested on charges of arson after several hours of negotiations, according to Santa Rosa police.

Police responded to reports of a burglary alarm at the Resurrection Parish at 303 Stony Point Road at about 7:50 p.m. Officers located a broken window and found Antonio Luevano, of Santa Rosa, inside the church.

Armed with a knife, Luevano allegedly refused to cooperate with officers and barricaded himself inside the church.

A hostage negotiations team attempted to coax Luevano to drop his weapon and exit the church, but Luevano instead began destroying property inside the church and attempted to ignite a fire.

Several hours later, officers used a Taser stun gun on Luevano and were able to take him into custody, according to police.

Luevano was booked into the Sonoma County jail on charges of felony vandalism, felony vandalism of a religious property and arson.

Neither Luevano nor any officers sustained injuries during the incident, police said.

At least it didn't happen at Burnt Church, New Brunswick.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Ok, you are right. the Bible says, an eye, for an eye. So take him out back, and set him on fire

:bonk: Wrong book!

The Lords Prayer :

Matthew 6:10-14 This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Luke 11:2-4 He said to them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.’ ”
