Congrats CVB! :dance: So happy you have your interview date fixed, and probably hopefully will have the Oath the same day! Order up your American Thanksgiving celebration meal!

Updating did my oath today. Very smooth, took 10 min. At 1.00 pm the judge came, we all stood took the pledge of allegience, Judge left at 1.10 pm. No videos etc were shown, Did not let us take photographs, immediatley got the Naturalization certificate, applied for passport at 2.00pm and got it at 4.00 pm. Hooray :dance:

Major update! We wrote in a few weeks ago seeking advice on how to contact USCIS as we were planning to leave the country for work overseas at the end of October, and had still not received our interview letter. (Thank you for your advice and suggestions which were very useful.) We had applied under section 319(b).

We delayed our planned departure to mid-November (without knowing if citizenship process would be complete), and also made an Infopass appointment. The earliest available appointment was November 1 (yesterday). We explained our situation to the officer, showed him our airline reservations, etc. He looked up our case and it was already at the local office (Washington, DC), so he called someone in another part of the office and she took us to a different part of the building. After about 30 minutes waiting, they called my wife and said they would do the interview/test right then and there! She passed the test, but since we were too late for the oath ceremony yesterday, we went back today and did the oath ceremony and received her certificate of naturalization. BIG relief!!

We're off tomorrow to the passport agency in Washington, and should have enough time to complete everything and get ready to leave the country end of next week. We've updated our timeline and status in the table below.

We haven't been active participants on VJ but we have used it extensively to walk us through everything and it has been an incredibly useful resource to help us through our entire journey starting almost 2 years ago with K-1, AOS, and now naturalization.
