Yes, that's normal. The yellow letter only indicates that you need to provide some additional information on the day of the interview (in my case I have to bring my drivers license with me). When there is no need for additional information, you get the white letter immediately. So, you're good. Good luck on the interview.

Hi! I just checked my status online and noticed that my case for "APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS " back in 2007 for my 2 year conditional greencard has been touch January 2010. Has anyone had any experience on this and any idea why they would check on my case that was done 3 yrs ago? Or i am just being paranoid...lol

Lhiz21, I removed conditions last year and in June this year my case was "touched" on my online status. I have no idea why but you are not alone!

Ditto, when we first filed for Citizenship I noticed that both the AOS and EAD applications, which were granted in Sept 2007, were touched in Feb this year. So it is normal for whatever reason.

Ok, went for my interview last Monday, Oct 4. Had a terrible experience with the local field office AGAIN!!! Went there early (after dropping my baby off to the sitter), when it was my time, they called me and when we got to his office, he said: You're gonna get mad at me (I was like, oh please not again). You're next on my list to be interviewed but when I looked back to grab your files, it's not there. I checked and it's still at NBC. I filed for an expedite request so they'll send your files ASAP. I'm very sorry, it's my fault because I didn't check. I should have been able to call you to cancel your interview today. It will probably take them a week to mail your files, and you will receive a call from us to reschedule your interview. Again, I'm sorry.

I was speechless!!! First they denied my application because I applied a day early (decision made July 21, eligibility date July 22), then this! What else was I suppose to say.

Thanks! I hope so too! I'm just glad something's happening with my husband's petition, and I'm not waiting for my naturalization anymore for that.

I went for my interview today. things went great.

I passed. I was there for like 15 minutes tops. She went through my applications, asked me:

What does the cabinet do?

How many Senators does Congress has?

What did the declaration of independence do?

How many justices on the supreme court?

How long do we elect a US representive?

I forgot the 6th question.

She said i was approved and to wait for my oath letter, she said most likely oath would be Nov 17th.

I have my Citizenship Interview on OCT. 14.

I was wondering if I pass, when would be the Oath Ceremony?!

ELW, thanks, I am quite excited.

I didn't know they do the same, everywhere.

I'll try giving a better account.

She asked me to swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth as soon as I got to her office. I said: "I do"

She asked for my name, my date of birth, went through my application, asking me questions, like addresse, country of origine etc,

then we did the civics test.

She asked me to read : When is Columbus day? and she asked me to write: " Columbus Day is in October."

She asked me the standard questions about being arrested, misrepresenting mself as a US citizen, etc as well as if I will bear arms for the US etc...

Then she said I did great and that she is recommending me for citizenship, and discussed possible dates for oath ceremony
