yes she needs to prove that she can support you and you will not be a burden on society. She will need to get a co-sponser or have lots of money in the bank I think it is 5 times the poverty limit

It's good to have an income. If there's any way for her to get a job, this will help your situation, especially when you adjust status or do the CR-1 interview. It's also good to have assets in the United States (as we're learning in the Canada forum). And yes, a co-sponsor will be needed. Good luck!

atbir,

A different case number from what?

For you to get a K visa someone has to have enough money - income or asets - to support you. If you don't have it yourself (and most visa applicants don't) you need a sponsor who does. And if your wife also doesn't have it she can't sponsor you so you need to find someone else.

It's not necessary to have employment letter and paystubs if the source on money is not income from employment. What documentation is needed depends on what the source of the money is.

atbir,

The MSC number is the USCIS case number for the petition, which they approved and sent to the NVC. The MSC part of the number identifies the USCIS facility where the petition was processed (in this case the National Benefits Center).

At the NVC, which is DoS not USCIS, a new case begins - the visa application. The DoS will assign it's own number to the new case. The DoS number, like the USCIS number, will begin with an alphameric that identifies the DoS facility (an IV issuing post) where the visa application will be processed.

The visa number (several of them) will be on the visa when it is issued, and none of the numbers will be the visa application case number.

Yodrak

thank you so much for your help, the letter that NVC sent her contain a different number than the case number ,it doesn't start with MSC, may that's the visa number,
