Is anyone else having trouble acessing the BCIS website to check your status?

July 17 2006 Sent I-129F to TSC

July 19 2006 packet received by TSC

July 27 2006 case received at CSC

July 28 2006 touched (to process/send NOA1)

Aug 01 2006 check cashed

Aug 05 2006 NOA1 received in mail

Oct 03 2006 Touched (RFE sent)

Oct 10 2006 RFE received and responded to

Oct 17 2006 Touched (CSC reply to RFE response)

Nov 06 2006 NOA2

Nov 21 2006 NVC sent to Manila

same here...just tryed... :( ...but bill just called..he checked before and told me once again we were touched...this is insane...enough already ...lol

08/23/2006 - INTERVIEW SUCCESSFUL!! (Day 99)[/b]

08/24/2006 - Visa Issued......08/30/2006 --- Visa in HAND !!!

09/02/2006 - REUNITED

09/07/2006 - Applied for SSN

09/13/2006 - Picked-up Marriage Certificate's from the COURTHOUSE

09/21/2006 - Mailed out I-485 Package to Chicago.

10/02/2006 - NOA recevied

10/27/2006 - Case received at CSC

11/09/2006 - E-mail recevied from CRIS saying AOS Approved and welcome notice mailed.

11/14/2006 - An approval letter mailed.

11/15/2006 - Green Card Received !!

I thought the acronym for the U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services was USCIS.

I'm quite sure you are correct on that matter, However since its a US govt site the US would be redundant,

If you bookmark the site and let it name itself you will see BCIS.

Edit, US govt domain hence the ".gov"

the same to me and to my fiance.

I have been tying to access the site since 6:30 pm(in Brasil) and nothing. My fiance just tried some minutes ago, and nothing!

I want to see my status! or better: i want to see our approval! :whistle::star:

BCIS is the old name for USCIS I think. They changed that a few years back.

Yep. The progession went:

INS -> BCIS -> USCIS

The last change was "Bureau" - "United States". I guess they thought that putting the name of the country in the title made them sound cooler.
