Visiting during processing time

I've read that during the processing time that I won't be allowed to leave Canada. Is this true?

My fiancé should still be able to visit me, correct?

You can always try to come visit the US.

There is no rule against that.

But it's a matter of luck as well as preparation whether you will be allowed entry.

You can go visit in the usa. But as usual, bring proof of ties, and bring your k1 folder with you, ie: proof of you going through the visa process legally. They will appreciate that. Also make sure you have definate dates for leaving and going back, some border crossings like specific dates, ie : i will be returning on xyz exact date by bus/ car/ air.

i went a few times during my k1, and had no issues, and this was after initially being refused entry twice before i began the k1 process. Just remember in the end it is still up to the CBP guards to say yay or nay.
