lol. It's getting a tad repetitive. Someone should make an updated thread of the process and pin it so the information will be accessible.

^^^ Agreed. No DS-160.

I have been watching this discussion for some time and I felt confident that the DS-160 is not required for the K-1 Visa.

Well, here's a new twist.

Rose went to pay for her interview at a BDO in Pagadian City (Mindanao) earlier today. She gave them a copy of her email letter confirming her appointment at the Embassy. The lady told her that she must provide the bank with the DS-160 before she can pay for the interview because that is the new requirement.

I told Rose that the lady is wrong and that she may just have to wait and pay when she gets to Manila. I have never heard of the bank refusing to accept payment. I thought all you had to have was your confirmation of appointment at the embassy.

Has anyone else had this difficulty?

That certainly is a new twist! It's the first report I've heard where the bank required a DS-160 for a K-1 fiancée visa applicant. However, I like your solution...Rose can simply pay her visa fee in Manila, where the banks should be more familiar with the rules.

That is so NICE!Wanting to learn your asawa's language..Malambing Pinay is also my Darling's expression. He knows a lot of tagalog word too and trying to learn my dialect KAPAMPANGAN! He just sound so funny..

Asawa ko tells me that my Tagalog sounds like a five year old child! :P But hey, I have to start somewhere. Tagalog is difficult enough for me, so I'm really not even trying to learn Ilonggo, my wife's dialect.

By the way, I don't even know what tinegary said to me in Tagalog. I'll have to get asawa ko to translate it. :help:
