If you have a tough case or you have red flags in your case you may want a lawyer.

You will likely end up paying a lot of money for something that can be done yourselfs if you have no problem case and its just a regular case.

They say to send 3-5 pictures. Make sure you put your names and dates and where the pictures were taken on the back. We just sent in our package, with pictures, telephone bills, tickets and boarding passes. Make sure you read anything and everything on this site and any others, you can do this yourself without a lawyer and have that money for other expenses.

send all the evidence you want. We put 20-25 pictures in the packet with tons of phone bills and itnerarrys and pages of stamps all kinds of things. Just be sure that your photos are labled with the date year place and names of the people in it.

We submitted our I129-f at the beginning of June. I included actual pictures, copies of phone records, old letters and cards with postmarked envelopes, flight itiniarys, boarding passes, reciepts for proof of buying things while on our visits, bus reciepts, a brochure from the hotel we stayed in, anything I could think of that would show proof of us being together and communication with each other was included in our packet.

Good luck with your submission. I hope this helps a little.

Twice in the last few minutes, I've seen you refer to "actual pictures" or "actual photos". Today, there are probably more "photos" residing in electronic format than on film or photo paper. When using a film camera, the "actual photo" is the negative. Photos should be of a size that allows the subjects to be identifiable. Other than that, it is of no importance what kind of paper they are printed on or what process was used to print them.

I strongly suggest all photos provided be on full sheets of paper, so they don't get lost when packages are opened and proper government files are built. Sending smaller "photos" is a good way to get them lost, rendering them useless. YMMV.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

You need to think that if you really want to do this , you will find time for it!

We decide do all the forms , because is prefer a million times knows that if we do something wrong it was our fault and not the person that i pay 2000 USD . .

We do it thanks to this page , so dont worry , you can find all the informations here :D

I didn't use a lawyer, I used another person ( I wont advertise for them here but if you PM me I will be more than glad to tell you who they were ). In most cases yes you can do it yourself. What you pay for ( or what I paid for ) was peace of mind and some document translation. The other thing I received was the fact the person was fluent in Ukrainian and his wife helps my fiance with questions she might have about the process and the interview.

You may or may not want to do this, I did it to make sure my packet was thorough and completed without mistakes. It was considerably cheaper than an attorney, and again as most people have said or stated, the lawyer can't be there at the the interview nor than do anything you cant unless it becomes a legal issue ( RFE or denial ).

It't entirely up to you however.

Just when we thought we winning the rat race... along comes a faster rat (i.e USCIS)

Our attorney here in the US suggested 10 to 15 photos if I remember right. Try to use photos with the dates stamped on them.

As to your question about acquiring an attorney. I would suggest getting one but, would not recommend the attorney I had.

I spent most of the time waiting for days for her to answer a question we had and I had to inform her of what was happening

most of the time. I will not say her name here because I think that would be improper. But I was very dissatisfied with her

so called help. 2 weeks after we received our NOA2 I sent her and e-mail informing her because I had not heard from her.

She said she must have overlooked the notice she received as my attorney. When we needed help getting ready for the interview

I could not even get her to answer my calls or e-mail. But I did receive an e-mail from her wanting me to vote for her and

her daughter in a beauty contest, ha ha. I finally found a place in Peru that helped prep my now wife for $150. Very nice lady

and was more helpful than my so-called attorney ever was. I have her e-mail address if you are interested in using her. She

can help with the entire process. If I had it to do over I would have used her from the beginning.

As for the AOS we are doing now, I did everything my self and so far all is well. We made it through without the need for an

interview. So I guess I prepared the packet well enough myself. But the K1 process is a little more complicated. I would suggest

having someone who deals with this daily look-over everything at the very least.
