Hi! my boyfriend has filed his citizenship and was now approved. We are now ready to file the I-129F petition. My questions are,

1. Would there be a problem because his citizenship has just been approved and then we will file a fiance visa immediately?

2. Do you think we will receive an RFE for this? We have enough proof (money transfers, joint bank accounts, chats, emails, receipts, airline tix) that our relationship is legitimate.

3. He's planning to come here for a vacation, if he will file now would that pose a problem because he is not in the US when NOA1 & NOA2 is released?

4. What does "touched" means in the VJ timelines? Does it refer to the service center's actions with our petition?

I hope other VJ members with this kind of experience would share their thoughts to us.

Thanks in advance!!!

one question, did he have his oath ceremony and now has his naturalization certificate? if so there are no problems in just becoming a USC.

if not, then he isn't a USC until the oath ceremony and receiving the certificate of naturalization.

Yes he received his certificate of naturalization. He's also finished with the oath taking ceremony.

If you have enough proof of your relationship, this should not be a problem.

No.

Yes, that's what it means.

Wow thanks!

Another question, in submitting the I-129F package, should we submit all original forms (receipts, phone bills, etc.) or scan copies would do?

Copies of supporting documentation. Petition, G325a forms and letters of intent must be the originals.

Is your boyfriend going to file the I-129F packet before or after he visits you in person? You did not mention whether you have ever met your boyfriend in-person within the two years prior to filing the I-129F packet. Keep in mind that, at the time he files the I-129F packet, it's required that you have met within the past two years.

My boyfriend & I are still undecided whether he would file I-129F before he leaves for his vacation. He is worried that we might get an RFE while he is here in the Philippines and we would not be able to submit on time the documents needed. The reason why we wanted to file it as early as now is for us to be together hopefully by end of the year. We have 2 choices, file I-129F before he leaves or file it after his vacation?

We met 3x last 2008 and twice last year so I think we have enough proof that our relationship is legitimate :0).
