My wife got an interview for 7-19-2010. But the packet they sent her did not contain medical examination info. Does this mean they wont give her the visa in this interview? How long will this process take. I am a US citizen and she is Egyptian....Thanks for help....

Usually it is up to her to make the appointment for the medical. She will need a copy of the interview letter and her passport. The embassy website might have a list of Civil Surgeons or pop down to the MENA forum and ask around there.

Here is the information for your wife's medical examination. You can find it on the us embassy in cairo website.

http://cairo.usembassy.gov/consular/ivmei.htm

There is a list of doctors and clinics that she can use. All she needs to bring is a print out of the email containing the interview date.

It takes about 10 days to get the sealed envelope with the results that she needs to take to the interview with her so she needs to plan accordingly.

Good luck with her interview!
