Hi All,

I had an interview today in NJ, they want me ASAP starting from Monday

I told them i do not hv an EAD yet n it mght take a couple of weeks be4 i get 1. :crying: .?

neways they are not offering me ne grt pkg but 36K to start with..but can grow within..

Now can i volunteer to wrk till i get my EAD card for free or shld i ask them to compemsate at a later date aftr EAD? or least they pay me the transit pass? :unsure:

Any suggestions are welcome

You cant do volunteer work if it takes the work away from someone who can get paid for it

So most voleenter work can only be done for non profit organisations

June 12th 2004 applied for AOS EAD AP

July 7th 2004 NOA received for AOS EAD

August 3rd 2004 Biometrics appt in Rhode Island

EAD approved online Aug 3rd 2004

EAD card arrived in the Mail Aug 9th 2004

started working 13th September 2004

applied for renewal of EAD May 9th 2005

You can't work in any position that is normally a paid position whether or not you are taking it away from someone else.

Dont know if you want to take any chances but actually there is a loophole which says that because you are married to a USC you will be "forgiven" for working before you are really meant to.

I'm not advising you to one thing or another, but letting you know about the loophole. :whistle:

Advice given by some attorneys have been proven wrong time and time again on this site.

Be aware of the consequences of illegal activity. It's against the TOS of this site to suggest or condone it.
