I have a question regarding a small difference in the alien number printed on my NOA2, and the alien number on my K1 visa.

When I began filling in all the AoS forms, I used the alien number stated on my NOA2. (I didn't realize it was also printed on my K1 visa until earlier today!) The alien number on my NOA2 begins: 089

Today, I was going over the paperwork, and noticed an inconsistancy. Although the alien number on my NOA2 begins 089, the number on my K1 visa begins 89. There is no zero.

Now I am concerned. Which number should I use? It's just a small difference, and aside from the missing zero at the beginning, the digits are exactly the same. So sill it matter?

It is a particular worry to me, because I've already been to see the civil surgon, and the form for that was completed with the alien number stated on my NOA2 (which is 089). Do I need to go back to the civil surgeon and have it done again? What about the rest of the AoS forms?

I believe the A number has to be so many digits long, 9 I think, if your number on your K1 is only 8 then they automatically put a 0 in front of it, so do not worry it's nothing to stress about.

Good Luck with your application :)
