Ah - is much steam about nothing -

being present , in country, and out of status is NOT the same thing as being an illegal alien, EWI, at all .

Mr. Wong is sticking to 'illegal aliens', those who EWI.

From what I've been able to suss out, he's not chasing after 'out of status' ppl, at all.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I would suggest they already put their lives in danger the minute they decided to walk across the border from a hot country into a hot state... It's not easy making the trek. I'm sure they could handle a little more heat.

Give that you want to see illegal immigrants punished with death, it's not surprising that you adopt wacky and inhumane ideas.

Illegal immigration needs to be tackled by people who use their heads, not their gut and personal prejudices.

I know it sounds like a great idea but it's not.

I don't care what a baby's or a child's legal status is, they don't deserve to suffer. I'm sorry Darnell :( However, there are lots of other good ideas out there - going after the businesses that employ illegal immigrants is one of my favorites. I always say that the only reason they come here is to work. If there is no work (or very little work), they will not come.

We've seen it here already on Long Island... when the recession hit, LOTS of illegals just left. Went back to Mexico & El Salvador. They couldn't survive here.

I'm just sayin. Solve the problem at it's cause.... and since we can't go over to Mexico and Central America and fix their corrupt governments who allow their poor to stay poor and give them no incentive to want to stay, we should work on our situation. It's like voluntary deportation.

Illegal immigration needs to be tackled by people who use their heads, not their gut and personal prejudices.

I presume your definition of "immigration limbo" does not include having a valid nonimmigrant visa and being in a "hurry-up-and-wait" state to file final-stage papers for Green Card?
