What to prepared for a K-3

Hi,

I will be heading back to VietNam to marry my Fiance in Oct.

I was wondering what kind of paper work I should start to prepare now and have everything reading when I m back in VietNam?

I also heard that you need an approval letter saying that you are single before getting a marriage license in Vietnam. How can I get one in the US?

You might not be aware, but mostly - the K-3 is not a viable option anymore -

Just to verify....the K-3 visa is no longer available and the IR-1/CR-1 should be pursued instead????

Yep they are closing the I-129F at NVC now when filed with I-130. Go IR-1/CR-1. It's a better visa anyway.

I think you should make a personal decision, after reading those two links. IMO, 'which Visa to pursue' MUST be a personal decision, albeit laced with facts.
