Hi,

I have just been given an interview date of July 20th in Vancouver, and I need to book my medical. My issue is I just renewed my passport on June 28th, and it'll be in my hands by July 13th at the earliest. I need my new passport number in order to book my medical, so I can't book it yet. I'm wondering should I book my medical with my old passport number even though it has been canceled (expires Jan 2011), and just hope that my new passport comes in by the time I get my medical? I have called the passport Canada office and there is no way that they can speed up the passports arrival, it's already in production and they can't do anything about it. From what I have read they only do your medicals on Wednesdays, so that would only leave me July 14th for a medical date, is this true that they are only open Wednesdays?

Please, if anyone can help, I appreciate all responses!

Thanks!

I don't have any experience with the Canadian Embassy or their procedures but you're best bet is to contact the office of one of the medical examiners and ask them your question.

I might be wrong but I always thought you kept the same passport number even when you have to renew it.
