I'm new to the forum, and if somebody can answer these questions, i would gladly appreciate it. First off, I'm petitioning a k-1 visa for my fiance in Colombia, I've already received my NOA 2 41 days after receiving my first NOA 1. my first question is:

1. Does my fiance have to have any documents with an apostille seal when she goes to the interview at the embassy in Bogota, Colombia?

2. I have my birth certificate from 2008 and i asked for it for marriage purposes because at the time i was thinking of marrying my fiance in Colombia, but decided not to, Can i Still take it to the interview or would i have to ask for a recent birth certificate of this year??

3. In 2003 my fiance went with some family trying to get a tourist visa, and they got denied, does she have to take some document stating the she got denied a tourist visa in 2003?? or they"ll see in the system that she got denied a visa??

Thank you all for taking the time to read this, I'm just another guy who is in love and just wants to be happy, thanks :whistle:

3. It doesn't matter. The K1 visa won't be influenced by the denial of the B2 visa. She doesn't have to take a document. The CO will more probably ask nothing about that visa. Though they keep record of the denials/approvals.

On the forms she'll receive in packet 3 she'll be asked if she was ever refused a visa. She needs to answer that question and specify for what type of visa was she denied.

1. I'd post this in the LAT AM forum here, in english and spanish and I'm sure someone will help. I haven't heard of that, but we're at about the same stage of this process.

2. I can't imagine you'd need a "new" birth cert. As long as the one you have is "official", it should be fine. It worked (or your passport) for the original filing.

Good luck, and PM me if you find out about #1 pls.
