Does NVC accept scanned documents?

Here's the scenario:

My in-laws need to sign the I-864A. My husband, who's currently in the Philippines already sent his I-864 to his parents so they can send it together with their I-864 form, since they're a joint sponsor. However, my hubby failed to send a signed I-864A. To save on courier fee, can he just sign the form, scan it and send it to his parents so they can print and accomplish that form to be sent to NVC?

I believe it is safe and much better, to have both the petitioner and the beneficiary ORIGINALLY sign all the papers and forms sent to NVC,or any other government institution for that matter.

Agree, I believe they require original signatures, not scanned or photocopied forms. Perhaps someone who has tried to submit copied forms can share their experience.

In short, no. Your husband signs an I-864. His parents would only use an I-864a if they and your husband are part of the same household. Otherwise it is two I-864 forms, one from husband and one from ONE parent, not both.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

I would be you, than never take chance....see it's simple math.....either u spend time seinding it again in mail now, or either you spend more time when you get RFE....so why not now..and be safe later.
