Hey everyone!

It's finally time to buy a ticket to fly for my hubby's interview.

When I have visited in the past, I have booked directly with the airline. But as I look now, some of the 3rd party sites like expedia, cheapo air, etc seem cheaper.

I would like to know if anyone else has used any of these sites and if the experience was good or bad.

Thanks!

I would use those sites, but since I primarily use AA to book my flights to Nicaragua I always look @ the special discounts or perhaps special deals they might have on certain days. Check with your primary airlines website directly THEN cheaptickets/expedia, etc.. they give you a side by side comparison of all airlines. :)

Cheaptickets.com I believe is a rather good site to check... see if that works after you check your airlines website.

Thanks! Trying to save all we can on my ticket so that if we don't AP, he can fly home with me!

travel.bing.com is pretty cool because it gives you all of the airline's prices and searches all the 3rd party sites at the same time.. I notice that the prices on Expedia and Priceline and stuff are usually only a few bucks cheaper than the airline, and if there's any problems with flight cancellations or changes, they're legendary for not telling you and becoming unavailable when you need help... so I usually book with the airlines.. Paying 10-20$ more is worth the peace of mind, to me..

I just found this the other day while looking for flights from CZ to the USA. It doesn't actually book anything for you, but it links to the best prices to book on your own. It seems to find better options than any of my "normal" search engines...

I like to use Orbitz....I also search Kayak.

Cheaptickets doesn't include Royal Jordanian in their list.

Also, if you adjust the dates by a day or two, it can sometimes make a huge difference. I adjusted the ticket date by two days and saved almost 500.00.

Royal Jordanian does't fly to the states everyday either...that is something else to keep in mind.

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........

Also, remember when you are shopping for plane tickets to delete you cookies and seach history on your computer every time you go in to look. This will save you a lot of money, these type of websites know your looking for airfare and everytime you go to their site it recognizes your computers address and will increase the fares on you, not by much but by $10-$20. I learned this when shopping for tickes to Peru.
