I got my NOA1 on 04/15/10. Haven't heard nothing from USCIS yet, only have been touched once on 04/20/10. The wait is getting too frustrating specially when I hear people getting their NOA2 within a month. Should I start worrying yet? I am wondering how many more sailing in my boat? Let's pray for speedy processing

No need to start worrying yet. It's important to realize that the NOA process can last several months--although the service centers try to get everything pushed through within 5 to 6 months. It was almost 3 months before we received our NOA2. A lot depends on which service center is handling your petition (as well as the time of the year). The service centers deal with more than just K-1 petitions so it's important to understand that your packet has a lot of competition.

The initial NOA (I-129F petition) process is typically considered the most time-consuming step in the visa process. It's also the most nerve-wracking time for all of us because time seems to drag on f o r e v e r...

Stay optimistic and remember that each day brings you one day closer :star:

We are busy sitting around and waiting too, are date for the NOA1 is 4-27-2010!

It's funny that some where on the USCIS website I read that they say it's a mater of first come first served but as we know from the time lines it doesn't seem to work that way!

I do wish you the best of luck on getting your NOA2.

My NOA1 was 13 April and yes I've had an RFE which was answered within 1 day of receiving but our file has not been touched since 21 June. Its really gut wrenching to watch people around you getting NOA2 in under a month when I've been waiting 2 1/2 months now and no end in sight. I rather hate this :(

You can not compare your case to others that have been approved faster from a different consulate. The typical time for someone that has filed is 5-6 months... So bide your time with some hobby to keep your mind occupied and know that the NOA2 is comming... if you filed in April you should start looking for your NOA2 in Sept/Oct. I would stay away from looking at what other ppl have done in other countries... because it will drive you crazy.. I remember back when I started I was reading that this person from Germany was able to skate through the USCIS in like 32 days... it just doesnt seem fair... Goodluck

Welcome to the waiting club ya'all. I have been waiting since 02/06/2010 when I received NOA1. Since then no touch and nothingfrom USCIS. it is really frustrating and I have gone to my congressman and Representative. The imm consultant at my rep office called them while I was there about a month ago and till now I have not heard anything.

My advice is for you to do what your mind tells you. You might just be lucky that any of your action will spur them into action

My NOA1 date is 4/21. I've seen people from the same service center, with the same consulate getting some action, either an RFE of NOA2. My case hasn't been looked at since 4/26... If there's a problem, tell me so we can fix it. If not, ....????

I really am starting to feel like I'm holding a number in the 50s and the sign says "Now Serving: 95"

So sorry to hear this!! I really don't understand it at all. I was OK when I thought the average processing time was 3-4 months. It's not the wait (well, it is) but how can some receive such quick turnaround and others not?

Good luck to you and hope you receive good news soon. Even sooner than the rest of us!

Like many of you I am also frustrated to see others getting NOA2 from VSC that have filed after me and I have not seen anything happening since 5/14. I called USCIS yesterday and was basically told that my case is being worked on, and that some get approved faster than others because maybe the agent working on their file has less cases than others, or their case is less complex. Whatever, I think it should be a first come first serve. Good luck to everyone!!!

I am in the same boat as you. Sent i-129f on 3/31/10. Received NOA1 on April 6, 2010 with an April 2, 2010 date on it. USCIS website says touched on 4/2/2010. That was the last update. Haven't received any RFE notices. Called on 6/30/10 for an update, but wasn't given any info accept that it was still being processed within the USCIS timeline of 5-6 months. gues i will have to hang in there as well. Will call again in 2 weeks if still do not have. Funny how some people apply at the same time and get thiers right away. i guess it also has to do with the background checks, maybe it takes longer for that, but i dont think so. Background checks take less than 24 hours. We will see what happens.

God Luck

We'll all get our NOA2s within the next few weeks. I know we will and this little amount of delay won't mean a thing years from now...

I'm sure, in my case, that I'm doubly anxious right now because I'm visiting my fiancee until Tuesday and want to get some good news before I leave so we can share it in person.

That and the only thing I have to do during the day while she's at work is surf the web (USCIS & VJ, anyone?) and wait for an email..

Good luck to all of us still waiting!!
