"Further tests" needed after interview

My fiance interviewed at Casablanca yesterday, and despite being grilled for over an hour by two CO's, he was told at the end that he'd "passed the interview", but that they needed some forms (no biggie), and "further tests" done by the panel physician that he saw initially. So, he went back to the doc same day, and they sent him to the lab for urine tests and took 3 vials of blood. They told him they need to send the blood to France to be tested.

I know it's a drug test, I've been around the block a few times and there are very few things that urine is tested for that would be relevant to the CDC's immigration guidelines.. But my question is this- why 3 vials of blood? I've been blood drug tested before, and they only took one vial for the whole panel of tests. Is it perhaps just that this French lab is not equipped to do multiple tests on one vial, or could they be testing for something else too?

Anyone from countries where drug tests are standard or who's had experience with this have a clue what they're doing?

I worry too much, I know.. I know he'll be clean from drugs (I live with him). I still just worry there's something wrong with him that they're doing further tests for. I worry that he's sick :(

Thanks for any help

Sarah
