I would not worry about it just yet, I was in the same boat, not in Miami, but once I started to go through peoples postings, it was clear, that, regardless of the office there was nothing consistent about the time it takes. Some VJers were getting them within days, others weeks or months.

I had to push my along a bit though ...... This what I did..

After 30 days had passed, I called them to enquire, not much help, but I got a ticket number ! ( they told me to wait another 45 days!! Yeah right)

After another 3 days, I wrote a letter to them confirming the ticket number.

After another 3 days, I made an INFOPASS

After another 9 days I went to the INFOPASS appointment. ( which was actually at that 45 day benchmark from originally filing).

I showed them the letter I sent, gave them the ticket number, which was a good thing I think, that I was able to show I was jumping through their hoops. He gave me the appointment letter for biometrics right then.

I think the above plan works well, especially if the appointment turns up during the process, the ticket does not mean a great deal and you can easily cancel the INFOPASS

Listen, I got myself into a right mess, when I kept seeing peoples timelines saying hay had got their Bio Apt ....... A lot of people have waited 8 weeks. Don't panic.

Take care
