"....and id does NOT include phone sex!" That's funny

"Anyway, last summer was real slow at the consulate and they were giving interviews on 3-5 days notice."

Since we have all the papers ready for the interview(I-134, police report) maybe I can get her interview scheduled sometime in July.

Good luck trying to get an interview in July. When I called on June 29th, they told me the earliest interview I could get was on August 5, hence my Liana's August 5th interview.

You are supposed to buy a PIN code to speak with someone. $12 for 8 minutes and id does NOT include phone sex! You will get to speak to a person. Here is what is funny...there are only two operators at the call center. Viktoria and Vitaly. When you buy a PIN and push numbers to buy a PIN, you get one of the operators...they take your credit card information and issue a PIN. Then they tell you to call back with the PIN. When you do, the SAME person answers!

That's exactly what happened to me!!! At first I thought,"Hey, this guy sounds alot like the last guy " And then I read your post, thought about it, and busted out laughing realizing this  .

So, it is ok if I fill out online form 156 (bar coded) in English and submit for my fiancee? Please note, she barely understands English. Could that raise additional questions when she goes to the interview? Who filled out that form and why?

IIn Kiev, I doubt it. If they ask then just answer "My fiance filled out the forms" If you want, you can sign the box for the preparer but it is not necessary. That is for PAID preparers.

The "guy" is Vitaly. He is the afternoon operator, Viktoria is the morning one and they overlap a few hours in mid day. (I know WAY too much about the Kiev call center  ) I was suually calling at about 1am ET because I am up late most of the time and it is easier to get through at that time so I always got Viktoria.

TRANSLATIONS: Documents in English, Ukrainian or Russian do not need to be translated. When you arrive for the interview, you MUST present all the original documents accompanied by an English translation, which is produced by a certified translator, only if the document is not in English, Ukrainian or Russian. After the interview, all originals except the medical examination report will be returned to you. The consular officer has the right to request translation of any submitted document.

This is from updated Kyiv Embassy instructions 05-2010

I was told this the consulate visa section manager.

The consulate processes thousands of vias applications each week, and makes thousands of interviews each week. The call center is in Warsaw Poland. They update the list of visa petitions every Friday AFTER the call center closes.

Note that this is consulate specific and DOES NOT apply to papers sent to USCIS, such as petition and AOS. You will still need English translations for the AOS filing.
