hubby had interview, no pink but white slip. He said everything was ok. CO did not ask for anything except pictures. He said he was given a white slip with a check mark on "required clearance" and stamped with final screening done. His nbi clearance that we submitted states "no criminal record found". He was also asked to fill up and submit the form for air21 for visa delivery but they told him not to pay yet. (i think hes paying when its delivered, not sure). Embassy did not return our papers we submitted at nvc and they still have his passport. They told him that us embassy will do the verification and he doesnt need to do or submit anything. Was told to wait 1 to 2 weeks for visa. i am so sad and confused :(

Don't worry us embassy will just verify nbi for his record. No criminal record means further verification. Clearance should be No derogatory record. But your husband will be fine, as long as he is clear. He will get his visa probably in 1 or 2 weeks time. It really depends on how fast the nbi respond to us embassies query about your husband.

My parents had their interview at US Embassy Manila first week of July 2010... Everything is okay and CO said that my mom's visa is approved... but my dad's pending because of his nbi... He had a dismissed case when he was a teenager... NBI clearance has "No criminal record found" remark...

No pink or white slip was given to them... Just an air21 form for visa delivery...and payments will be C.O.D. Same as yours, embassy kept their passports and all docs... and embassy said there's nothing to do or submit anything...

After two days, they received SMS regarding air21 tracking numbers... I tracked my parents visa using this site http://www.af2100.com/tracking/usembassy/track.jsp but it only gave me this message - "Shipping Information Form (SIF) received by AIR21."... I called air21 and they clarified that they don't have my parent's visa yet and tracking numbers are auto-generated.

So, I decided to call US Embassy. IMHO, it's not worth calling the hotline where you need to pay like $6/call since they will only give you limited information and read what's only on their system. I tried this and the agent told me that my parents docs are still with the consul. She said that's the only info she have. I decided to call US Embassy - American Services department (632-301-2000). The lady that I talked to said that she doesn't see any problems except for my dad's NBI - which embassy forwarded to NBI for explanation right after his interview. They are now waiting to hear back from NBI. (These are the information the hotline didn't give me which I believe necessary info for someone who is paying $6/call). I asked her if it's okay to call the NBI to expedite the processing, she said there's no need to contact NBI.

We are on the same boat. I am also waiting and hoping it will not be long because their medical will expire this Sept.

I hope this helps. Good luck to us! :)
