USEM - handbag allowed?

I was looking for a list of prohibited items on the USEM website but only found info on electronics. Is the policy at the USEM the same as in other US consulates - no ladies handbags, only small ladies pouch is allowed? I'm putting all documents in a transparent plastic bag but was wondering if it's ok to carry a handbag (for my wallet, coin purse, facial tissue, passport, umbrella).

Really? So the USEM is a lot more lenient than US consulates/embassies in other countries? Briefcases are allowed then? I think I'll ditch the clear plastic shopping bag. I was going to use that only because other US consulates prohibit all bags (briefcase, backpack, handbag, cloth bag, zip folder, etc.).

What they said! good.gif

NO liquids of any form, deadly weapons and electronics.

I had alcohol in my bag and since nobody was manning monitor, it went through. They didn't go through the contents of my bag.
