I hope the process won't take too long. I'll give them 4 of Jordan's pay stubs on Monday and then call the U.S Embassy at least once a day. lol.

Hey Jason! Thanks for the help.

Toni

Thanks guys! I'll personally go to the U.S embassy on Monday. I know that I won't be at ease if I mail the evidence.

That totally slipped my mind. No problem! I'll drop by on Tuesday, then. Thanks for the friendly reminder!

With regards to Jordan's documents, I was initially irked upon hearing that I had to go back but that quickly dissipated since I know that he did his part. I'm going to the Embassy on Tuesday to remedy the situation so it's fine by me. Kudos to you for flawlessly fulfilling the documentation thanks to your extensive research. good.gif We're both going to be scrupulous down to the slightest details on our next journey.

May your wife be healthy throughout the remainder of her pregnancy. Congratulations!

@happyndinlove Thank you! It really makes me feel better knowing how optimistic you guys are about this. I was so disappointed yesterday that I was numb. It all didn't sink in till I got home. Yeah, I fully understand why the CO was emphatic about the pay stubs. Jordan and I will remedy the situation on Monday. The prescreener really grilled you? At least you walked out of there with flying colors, right? kicking.gif I went to window 15 and the prescreener was nice to me and barely asked me any questions. She and I were having a little "chikahan" in stead. lol. Jordan earns enough though we got a co-sponsor just in case. The CO looked at my cosponsor and saw that she earned 70,000 a year but had previous history of unemployment so that was when he asked me for Jordan's pay stubs. He was really nice and looked at me in the eye rather than staring into the dark hole a.k.a the malevolent monitor. lol. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for commiserating with us. We truly appreciate the time you've attributed to this post. Your comments certainly alleviate our worries and paranoia. (Well, my paranoia. lol.) THANK YOU. -Toni

Your welcome Toni!

Nope! Actually they did not. I just happened to detect that I was being tricked the way they phrased the questions even they were both nice and friendly to me. Lol!

so.......................................

what happened ? did you take it today ?

Yeah, she took it in today, apparently there was a looooot of people who recently got blue slips, I know she felt better after that lol. So, she took the paycheck copies (yes, paychecks, not necessarily pay stubs, but it should be good), at first the pre-screener there gave a funny face, and I guess it's cuz the paychecks are weekly and not bi-weekly, so she had to put on one of the copies my name and saying its a weekly paycheck. Then the lady just staple the 4 copied paychecks together with the blue and white slips, then put it in file, and told her that either the Embassy or Air21 will give her a text or email saying if her visa is accepted and that air21 received the packet from the embassy and its on its way to her house, and told her that she has to pay cash on delivery. So, all in all, I dont think it went bad at all, at least they accepted it, right? Now we play the waiting game.

We're not using any travel agent and she was just browsing for potential dates cuz she was bored and wanted to see what she can find lol. She was browsing through cheapoair.com and the date was mid July, I think? I usually use expedia.com, but couldnt find anything, kayak.com helped some, but she found the best with cheapoair, try any of those.

Okay guys, I'm back from my hiatus. lol. I had to go on a shopping trip to ease my tension. lmao. As Jordan said, it's another waiting game for us. You don't know how often I've been checking my phone. I don't know if it's too soon for me to call today. Is it?

@happyndinlove Yeah, I know what you mean. The ambiguous type of questions that just make you go, "uh excuse me?" lol. I can see that you handled it well though. tongue.gif What's your name, by the way?

@Jason and Rose I date I entered was for July 28.

@Tahoma Thanks for the moral support. I need that so badly right now. I'm at the peak of my paranoia. lol. I wonder how many days it will take. hihi. headbonk.gifIMPATIENT! unsure.gif I'm gonna use my mom's suitcases unless she volunteers to buy her precious daughter new ones. whistling.gif

Well, Toni went in for the interview today. She had everything with her, except for pay stubs, she made everybody, even the pre screener laugh, but the pay stubs is what prevented her from getting the PINK, instead she got the BLUE. I really didnt think it would matter with not sending any, but to the CO I guess it did. He said she couldve gotten the pink today, but she didnt have any. The only big upside to this thing is, at least she passed the interview and she just needs to bring them in, but still, it does put a big damper on a, what couldve been, a very happy day. Thanks to everybody on here who was so nice and kind, all of your advice was very helpful, and to all of our friends, A BIG THANKS. I know it seems like a giving up tone, but its not, it just sucks that this happened. Anyway, I'm just gonna send it and be done with it, and get that visa. Thanks to all who read this, I needed to vent it out.

I would like to ask something. Did you have tax returns or tax transcripts initially? If so, which ones and what years?

thanks

I'd like to think that I answered everything well but the decision was ultimately up to the CO's discretion. Now that I'm waiting for the Embassy to contact me, I always have to remind myself that it's a case to case basis and that I shouldn't compare my situation with the others. I'm still waiting... I have high hopes for a positive outcome so lets see.
