Well, Toni went in for the interview today. She had everything with her, except for pay stubs, she made everybody, even the pre screener laugh, but the pay stubs is what prevented her from getting the PINK, instead she got the BLUE. I really didnt think it would matter with not sending any, but to the CO I guess it did. He said she couldve gotten the pink today, but she didnt have any. The only big upside to this thing is, at least she passed the interview and she just needs to bring them in, but still, it does put a big damper on a, what couldve been, a very happy day. Thanks to everybody on here who was so nice and kind, all of your advice was very helpful, and to all of our friends, A BIG THANKS. I know it seems like a giving up tone, but its not, it just sucks that this happened. Anyway, I'm just gonna send it and be done with it, and get that visa. Thanks to all who read this, I needed to vent it out.

Same thing happened to me, however, it's the 2009 tax return that the CO wanted to see. At least, Toni will not be so stressed out anymore. Just give them what they want and she'll get her visa.

Congrats!

Hi Tin! It's me, Toni. I had to cool off for a bit. I was kinda sad because I really thought that everything was going well cuz even the American doing the biometrics was conversing with me which made the others in line a tad irked. hihi. The prescreener was a Filipina and she was sooo funny! I have to send you a private message to tell you all about it. lol. The CO that I got was nice though the other CO who shared the room with him reminded me of Cruella deVil cuz of the looks she gave. He was really amicable and he saw how I arranged my papers and that I used post its for everything. He said that I have OCD. Maybe just a little. kicking.gif The CO told me that he wanted to issue me a pink slip but then, he needs to see Jordan's pay stubs first. I'm going back on Monday.

Do I go there and wait for a pink slip or do I just drop off the papers and wait for them to contact me?

Thanks for all the help you've given me. Jordan and I sincerely appreciate it. good.gif

I hope the process won't take too long. I'll give them 4 of Jordan's pay stubs on Monday and then call the U.S Embassy at least once a day. lol.

Hey Jason! Thanks for the help.

Toni

Its good news, give them what they want and get it over with !!!

Thanks guys! I'll personally go to the U.S embassy on Monday. I know that I won't be at ease if I mail the evidence.

hello Toni. i'm sorry about what happened. don't worry just submit them what they were asking for and they will be sending your visa soon. tell Jordan to scan the paystubs and send it to you tomorrow so you can come back to the embassy tomorrow also. goodluck Toni!

Congratulations to you both!

Blue slip is not really a bad thing but it is much better if you get the pink one right after your interview is done, isn't it? Just act to the requested document as possibly soon as you can and for sure you guys will get the visa soon.

Lacking of the financial/pay stub documents and or having a huge/small income of the petitioner is seemed to be a big isssue to the Embassy. Indeed sucks sometimes but nothing we can do about it.

When I had my interview I was confident that I would get the pink slip no problem. During my pre-interview the pre-screener started to ask me some tricky questions regarding how much money my husband make. Same thing on my final interview with the CO, he asked me the same questions so then I started to feel worried and nervous a little bit. I'm just glad however that I did not allow their assorted tricky kind of questions let me down and scramble. Lol! I remained myself confident and was able to answer all questions fast and relaxed with a smile on my face. :star:

Congratz on passing your interview! :star:

You will not receive a pink slip when you drop off the pay stubs. Just submit the pay stubs along with your MNL case number at the window.

My wife dropped off a document at the Embassy three days after her interview. She dropped it off and then went home to Bacolod. She received her visa about four business days later. :D

Posted

PS...My wife talked her way into the Embassy on a Friday so she could submit the required document without having to wait until Monday. Back then, there were no interviews on Fridays, so there were no beneficiaries waiting for their interviews. She did not have to fall in line at all. She went straight to the window and dropped off the document without waiting. She was back out the door in a couple of minutes.

Maybe you can drop off the pay stubs on Friday. I wonder if they now do interviews on Fridays.

I understand how it feels. I've gone through the same stage, hehe. Well, at least your interview is done. See, I told you that it will be easy ;)

Just go there and give them the pay stubs, that's it. You'll just have to wait and make some calls, hehe. Here's the number, 301-2000. Press 7, then 5184 or 5185.

Anytime :) Soon, everything will be over, but another journey once you're already here in the states :D

@Joy Thanks so much for the moral support! I wasn't sure how I was feeling about this earlier. I came in confident and everything went smoothly till he asked me for pay stubs. I don't plan to leave until August but still, I'd like to get my visa before then. Thanks. wink.gif

@Jerbbie Hey! It's okay, I can't change what happened. I'm going to the Embassy on Monday to submit the pay stubs. Have a safe flight, btw. good.gif

@happyndinlove Thank you! It really makes me feel better knowing how optimistic you guys are about this. I was so disappointed yesterday that I was numb. It all didn't sink in till I got home. Yeah, I fully understand why the CO was emphatic about the pay stubs. Jordan and I will remedy the situation on Monday. The prescreener really grilled you? At least you walked out of there with flying colors, right? kicking.gif I went to window 15 and the prescreener was nice to me and barely asked me any questions. She and I were having a little "chikahan" in stead. lol. Jordan earns enough though we got a co-sponsor just in case. The CO looked at my cosponsor and saw that she earned 70,000 a year but had previous history of unemployment so that was when he asked me for Jordan's pay stubs. He was really nice and looked at me in the eye rather than staring into the dark hole a.k.a the malevolent monitor. lol. Thanks for sharing. yes.gif

@Tahoma Thank you! See, I really like how people on VJ can uplift people's spirits. I looked like a walking zombie yesterday. I filled up the blue form as soon as I got home and Jordan's going to email the pay stubs to me so I can arrange the papers for Monday. I wish to have the same fate as your wife did. Her persistence was obviously very effective! good.gif Hmm.. I don't think they do interviews on Friday. The man at the window told me to go between Monday to Thursday from 1-2pm and reminded me not to go on a Friday. Your wife probably made such a mark that they had to write it down on paper. lol. AWESOME.

@Tin Thank you! I thought I had to go through another one. PHEW! The CO was laid back and his eyes were so tantalizing that I had an answer to everything and I felt like I was just talking to a friend so I kept rambling even if he wasn't asking me anything. rofl.gif There was a mosquito in the interview room so he asked me, "Is that a mosquito?" I said yes but then I swatted it away and added, "It doesn't matter, it's gone now." He replied, "It's okay. It's on your side, not mine." lol. It was funny and surprising at the same time that I couldn't help but go, "uk!" headbonk.gif Did you go on a Monday too? I was just wondering because I intend to go there on Monday and I don't know if I should make the driver wait or if I should just send him to fetch my sister from school. It all depends on how long it'll take. Yay! Thanks for the number. I'll start bugging them on Tuesday. rofl.gif As long as I'll be with Jordan then another journey is worth it. biggrin.gif

Thanks for commiserating with us. We truly appreciate the time you've attributed to this post. Your comments certainly alleviate our worries and paranoia. (Well, my paranoia. lol.) THANK YOU. -Toni

I made sure throughout the entire process from start to finish that I did EXACTLY what they wanted me to do, including giving all they asked of me, such as the pay stubs, and we sailed right through without any problems at all. I cant even begin to guess at the number of hours I invested researching what I had to do, and then going back over everything again and again and again, reading all the details of what i had to do so many times so that there would be no error.

Our only problem was waiting on immigration to do THEIR thing, with no errors on our part. It took 14 months of waiting at that time to get her here in the USA.

Our baby will be here in 14 days now... wow.... C-section on July 16 at 7AM.
