Finally received SS card today :dance: (took 33 days from POE)

I am going to take a driving test (Written Test) tomorrow :star:

now I am waiting for GC...I received 2nd Welcome Letter on Friday so hope I will get GC soon...

Congrats on getting the SSN!

I took the Written Test for the Hawaii's drivers license today and I passed it...now I got "Learner Permit"...I will take the road test this week after practice for parallel parking :wacko:

good luck! btw, does anyone know if that post-decision activity is an indicator of uscis actually mailing/sending the GC? is this something that needs to happen prior to getting it in the mail? my GC production was aug 4th and still havent rec'd it - by calculations, it takes a week to 10 days for them to send it - guess i should be expecting it sometime this week (?)

Yes I do have a Japanese drivers license and it's good for a year in Hawaii BUT I wanted to get the Hawaii's drivers license as soon as I get SSN because I can use it as my ID :thumbs:

You live in Illinois? if so then he can use his Japanese drivers license for 90 days...so he should start study for Illinois drivers license...I think he need to take both Written and Road tests.

thanks - ok they changed to post-decision activity yesterday saying they approved the OS155A registration. So should be getting it now in the next day or 2 (?) Yohino, do you remember how long b/w the post-decision activity and physical receipt of the GC?

Darn it, I really don't. I think I got the second WL a few days after that, and then the GC 2 days after the second Letter. But I'm not sure, Sorry!
