Hello everyone,

I am my Mother's agent (F4 petition - bro to sister)... I am working on her DS230 right now and awaiting for her couple of docs that I need to add onto her checklist. My ques are:

1. Aside from the bar code to be included on the checklist, it says all the documents should have the case number on the upper right corner of each documents. Just the case number or do i have to include her name as well?

2. Say, I sent it to the NVC via FEDEX come July, how long does it take for me to wait for the NVC next and what comes next that I would be hearing from them?

3. anyone knows this phone number where we could verify and check the interview schedule? I remember way back when my husband was processing my IR1 petition, I kept calling this number and was able to find out ahead before they mailed the actual notice/letter to my husband regarding my interview and medical.

Thanks guys.

Hello cactusgirl!

We can help you a bit. We are CR1 so I our process may be different from your in regard to your question #2.

But to answer what I can......

1) If you put the case # on each paper...they will be able to track it back to where it shoudl be. Putting the name will not add any value.

2) As I said...we are CR1 so it will probably be different. I am sure someone with knowledge of that process can help you.

3) Did you give them your email address? if so they are getting good at emailing. You can call the NVC at 603-334-0700 to get an automated update. If you follow the prompts correctly....you can speak to an operator between 8AM and 10PM ( I think I remember that correctly) weekdays. Understand they may not have any more info than the recorded message. You may be able to use the online payment system and check it daily hoping for the "sign in failed" - meaning your case is completed/or about to be with the NVC. (again I do not have any knowledge about the F4 process so what I'm saying now is only what we have experienced with the CR1 process). The webpage for it is here: IV Fee Payment System

Please understand....I do not have knowledge of the F4 visa process.....only stating our experience with CR1. Some of what I give will have value...some may not! ;)
