Hey all, how does one go about requesting an expedite on the EAD?? Are there specific requirements to this request...(i.e. job offer) or can I just call up and say "I would like an expedite on my EAD??"

My package was sent to the NBC, is there a specific number I could call to request this expedite?

Thanks Folks

Ha.. I never heard about anyone doing that but I guess it is possible (after 90 days) according to these guys:

You need to call USCIS Website, Listen to the various options, Input your LIN / EAC number it gives you the status. After that it will ask you do you have any problem with the case and press some number, select that option, one of the option should be the expedite process. Select that option and it will take to an office.

He will ask yo why you want to expedite case and gives you four options, tell him because "Severe financial loss to individual"..he will ask severl questions related to your case, answer then and he will send an expedite request.

in my experience, to expedite and EAD cost $1000 and you file for it via the USCIS.gov website or you can write a letter to your congressman to ask to expedite it for you.

I'm pretty sure that's not true.

I called my congressperson and told them the situation and that I'd like it expedited. My husband (the non-USC) had to write a letter, and we sent some documents to explain/prove why we needed it to be expedited. They didn't ask for any money. The woman I was dealing with filed it w/ USCIS and called me back to tell me that they couldn't proceed w/ it until the RFE we had was fixed.

What I've read is that having a job makes them more likely to grant it....
