So our interview was at 10:29am and we enter the building at 9:30am. We went upstairs in the waiting areas, the room was about 25% full or AOS interviewees. We waiting only 15 mins and then an Asian middle age woman called our name, the buzzer was not working I guess. she introduced herself. I notice she did extend her hand out for a handshake. We then followed her to a office at the end with a window. We were about to sit down but she said nope , lets do the oath first, so we did. We sat down and then she pulled our file from a bunch files on a table behind her. I notice a basket on the floor that was labeled (Denied AOS), that kinda of lowered my confidence.

She started off by asking for my passport and both our ID's . When I gave her , she immediately took off my stapled I-94 card from my passport. She asked the first question. " How did you guys meet?" We told her, and then she said something strange. she asked if I was ever in the army, and I said no. She the said to me you should Google " selective service" and enlist. It will help you with your citizenship. I didnt know what to respond to that. I just said ok I will. ( Im not sure why she mention that site). She then was scanning through our papers we filed and writing dates and signatures. She then reached our Affidavit of Support and asked about our sponsor and then where my USC wife worked. We told her. She asked my wife for her phone number and if her parents knew we were married. My USC wife reply yes.

So after that she asked us for proof of cohabitation, we gave her our lease, electric ,etc. She then went over the standard terrorism questions. after that she asked for pictures, we gave her two albums that she went trough and picked a couple of pictures for our file, she said. she liked them. she then talked to a couple she had in the pass, that had been spousal abuse, where the wife would beat her husband and hit him in the knees. The relation was that since my wife was short and I am tall that if they were any abuse, she would look for the evidence at my knees she joked.

She then asked me about my home country and whats famous there and what do we do there. I told her and she asked about if my USC wife ever went. I said we planned on going this summer.

After that she drew three lines and signed her name and a date, then she asked us to both sign and date. We did and she then said the interview was over and expect a decision in 2 to 3 weeks.

Overall we thought it went well, what do you guys think?
