We received our NOA1 on monday 28th june, and yes i know we still have to wait to get the noa 2 before anything else really happens but i would like to know exactly what will have to be done for petitioner/beneficiary after

Petitioner :

1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one).

2. Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy.

3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).

4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is signed, with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all.

5. You will likely need at a minimum (for the above form) two to three of your most recent pay stubs and a signed letter from your employer listing you job title, start date, your salary, and the status (full-time) of your position. Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. You will also probably want to include other evidence such as your banking information and other assets as required by the I-134. Specifically you will need at least 2 of the 4 options mentioned in Section II-Supporting Evidence of the I-134. See this FAQ for more tips and ueful information on the Affidavit of Support Form.

6. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail.

7. Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, etc from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 date-now).

Now all of that is written in the guide for k1 but my fiance would like to prepare herself in advance for when she receives packet 3 and 4 then medical and interview...

We found this website which was updated somehwat recently

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Canada&cty=Montreal

have a few questions about all of what will be going on , on my fiancées side

1.Approx. 4-6 months from the time P3 checklist is sent back. Approx. 2-4 months from the time file is completed at NVC for CR1/IR1. These are not highball numbers, they are approximately accurate. Expect a long wait for your interview. See the thread in the Canada forum for people waiting on Montreal. Is it really months or weeks ?

2. It says Packet 3 no longer includes the forms so i will have to get them online at the websites mentioned but it also says ''There are also further details on what documents are required for the interview.'' What other documents will be needed for the interview? and how many copies of each documents do I need.

3.Packet 4 : K-1 Appointment Letter: includes a list of documents you are required to bring to the interview, who is allowed to accompany you to the interview, what items are restricted from entering the consulate, and of course the date and time of the interview.

what are the documents needed, how many copies who is allowed ( i have a 4 year old son comming with me is that ok?)

4. What forms should be send back to the Consulate? DS-230 DS-160 Online Form Checklist(what is on the checklist)

5. Visa fee payment "same day" or "in advance"? it says same day but how much ?

6. Medical Exam : The cost says $275 at Dr. Seiden's in Toronto and Montreal and $215.00 in Montreal if you go to Medisy's health group but how much is it for a 4 year old boy ? , are those the only doctors i can go to ? + extra for vaccinations if necessary, how much per vaccine ? , and what do i need to bring to the medical?

7. For my son i have my court papers stating that i have legal custody and that the father has no visitation etc.. I know i have to bring those papers with me to the interview so that my son gets a visa issued too , but since i havnt had any contact with the father since the past 2 years do i still need a letetr from him stating that he allows me to bring our son with me ?

Check out the Timelines section and look at other Canadians' going through Montreal.

What other documents will be needed for the interview? and how many copies of each documents do I need. Please read the Canada wiki. It has photos of the packet 3 and packet 4 letters which include all the interview info: http://www.visajourn...ndex.php/Canada

3.Packet 4 : K-1 Appointment Letter: includes a list of documents you are required to bring to the interview, who is allowed to accompany you to the interview, what items are restricted from entering the consulate, and of course the date and time of the interview.

what are the documents needed, how many copies who is allowed ( i have a 4 year old son comming with me is that ok?) See #3

4. What forms should be send back to the Consulate? DS-230 DS-160 Online Form Checklist(what is on the checklist) See #3

5. Visa fee payment "same day" or "in advance"? it says same day but how much ? Same day, $350 USD. It recently increased from $131 so do not be fooled if you see that price, it is now $350.

I imagine for your son it costs the same but you will have to call the medical places and ask. Yes, there are only a few panel physicians in Canada. One in Vancouver, 1 in Toronto, and 2 in Montreal (I believe.) You need to bring the packet 3 letter showing your MTL case #. Not all medical clinics offer vaccinations on the spot, you will have to read through reviews on the Canadian forum to find out. Or call and ask.

I don't know, you will need to ask someone who has gone through the K2 visa.

P.S. Not to be rude but you are asking questions that, for the most part, have answers that can be found on your own by being resourceful and looking through all VisaJourney has to offer.

I'm in the same boat as you, in fact, you're ahead of me. I don't even have my NOA1 yet. I know all this just from reading VisaJourney.

Well ive found most of the stuff needed sucks for it being canada day and lawyers office being closed... but i can't believe that it went up to 350$..

I called the CLSC her ein my town and scheduled the missing vaccines for my son and I , it wont cost a thing but i can't believe i never got vaccinated for chicken pox, and i never got it so thats just surprising.

and then ofcourse hepatitis B for my son over a period of 3 doses. Then we should both be up to date.

Hope you 2 get your NoA1 soon :)
