Yay I am so excited! I do have some guilt because so many people were 'ahead' of me in line however because of Justin's leave it's really our only time. So I won't gloat or hip hip horray too much out of respect for my VJ friends here.

Thanks for adding me to the list Vero and Chris.

Don`t feel bad for being happy! Your hubby is fighting for his country, sounds to me like he deserves priority...

Can't believe we are all getting our approvals to POE. This is such a great feeling.

I know!!! Do you guys feel like waiting for the interview date seems like forever ago? Gosh, I`m so happy Chris and I didn`t get married first! We`d still be waiting on a date it seems! I feel bad for all the CR-1s out there, they have it tough!

Hey guys just thought I'd pop in, just got into Montreal a few hours ago. Have my fiancee in tow which is a comfort! Gonna get some supper, go over our paperwork then bedtime!! Wish us luck guys!!! :thumbs:

I'll come back on tomorrow as soon as I can and FINALLY be able to say those happy words!!!

See profile for our K-1 Visa/AOS story from 2010-2011Apparently we love USCIS/NVC so much we left and are doing it again! This time giving IR-1 a whirl. Rock on immigrators.

07/09/2014 sent in IR-1 packet to Chicago Lockbox

07/16/2014 NOA1

07/17/2014 check cashed by USCIS

10/01/2014 found out we are expecting baby #2 June 2015!

12/15/2014 NOA2

12/30/2014 Case received by NVC

03/23/2015 Received Case and Inv # from NVC after many calls and bogus excuses.

03/24/2015 AOS payment accepted by NVC

04/09/2015 IV payment finally accepted by NVC after the set the wrong fee and took weeks to correct it.

*many more delays thanks to the agency processing my fingers prints to the RCMP and the post office losing our mail*

05/20/2015 Packet sent to NVC via UPS, eta May 28.

06/16/2015 Baby #2 due - homebirth in Scottsdale, AZ

Just got an email from Canada post saying our package was accepted at the post office!! That didn't take too long since our interview was on Thursday.

1 week until POE

2 weeks until wedding

!!

Yeah! Good for you! I received mine this morning! It`s so 'official' now, I can`t believe it!!! And... they put my birth certificate in it :thumbs: ! Thanks Montreal consulate!

YAY! More great news from Montreal!! Congratulations guys and gals! I am celebrating with you today :thumbs:

Clay and I are going to pick up our marriage license this afternoon!!!!!!! I am so happy :dance:

Applied for SSN in married name - 09/06/10 (I was told it will take 4 weeks to get the background check cleared and an additional 2 weeks to receive my card)

E-Notice From Chicago - 10/05/10

I-797C, NOA1 Received - 10/08/10

SSN card received (FINALLY!)- 10/23/10

Biometrics appointment - 10/28/10

EAD Approved - 11/19/10 (USCIS Website Notice)

AP Approved & Received - 11/22/10

EAD Received- 11/23/10

Interview - 02/07/11 APPROVED!

I am now a U.S. Permanent Resident!!
