My fiancée is staying with her mother until she gets her letter from the Manila embassy. Unfortunately, her Mother lives in a very rural area! Thus far, not one postal letter has made it to her Mother’s residence! The cellular phone calls have been very difficult to hear, and forget about the internet option! So, here goes my concern. It is my understanding that the Manila embassy will be sending her a letter notifying her of certain documents she will need to send back to the embassy in order that the medical and interview may be scheduled. I’m not sure if I will receive any information from the embassy or not. Our desired goal is for my fiancée to stay in Manila so that we have avenues of communication. Thus, the question would be will I receive notice from the embassy as to what paperwork they will need, and then, will I be able to make arrangements with the embassy and setup her medical appointment and interview. In this manner, then she will only have to return back to her Mother’s home to receive the “Visa!” On another note, in reading the forums I get the gist that you can actually go on-line and submit the forms needed by the embassy, before you get a letter. In this way, they can then schedule your medical and interview. Can anyone point me in the right direction here? Thanking everyone in advance for your help!

The USEM sent two letters addressed to me in two different addresses (mine and my fiance's). It was just to let us know that they already have our case and we are eligible for interview. Also in the letter is a link on what forms to download and what documents to bring for my interview:

As for the appointment letter, have them send it to your email instead of your fiancee's. Just explain to them the situation. But still, you need to send it to her email, cuz she will be showing that letter to the guard at the embassy on the day of her interview.
