Adding my Biometrics appointment date. What is the story with early biometrics? Can you just walk in the biometrics center and ask to do your biometrics in advance? Will it speed up my application?

To do an early biometrics you take a chance and just walk in to se if they will accept you. Not all ASC centers accept walk-ins other than military personnel. No, it will not normally speed up your application.

3/23/14 - N400 package sent to Phoenix

3/27/14 - N400 package delivered

4/3/14 - NOA1 receipt date

4/4/14 - check cashed

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

Well, no more touches for me since Monday. I hope the next movement I see on my file is an approval. I wonder when we'll be seeing the first one for a July filer come in. Hope we see one by the end of the month. :thumbs:

Can anyone help me?

I mailed my I751 on July 2 and got NOA after a week. 30 days later, havnt got my biometric letter so I called USCIS yesterday and found out that a biometric appointment has already been scheldule on August 20. (It's only 7 days away from now!!!) USCIS contacted me by email letting me know that a new letter will be sent out. Obviously the first biometric letter was lost somehow. So my question is what if the second biometric letter comes late, will I miss my biomeric appointment? Or Can I get biometric done without the letter? Please give me some suggestions. I really dont want to miss my appointment.

***The earlies Infopass appointment available at my area is Augus 26 which is way pass my schedule biometric appointment.***

I would wait to receive the second bio letter. If they mailed it out today, you should receive it in 7 days. If it does not arrive by mail and the date of your appointment is close, I would call USCIS and reschedule the appointment date. You need to have the bio letter to do biometrics, without the letter, they will not allow you to do biometrics.

Just wait for new appointment letter. If the appointment date on the new Biometric document (could be another new date or old data) has already passed, submit a request for another Bio appointment ( The Bio letter gives you that option - Read Instruction on ASC letter) and write a letter to CSC explaining what happened including the fact that you contacted Customer Service and that mail delivery was not your fault. Don't forget to include your A# and your NOA date on the letter.

I think for new Bio schedule you have to submit request to ASC Center. I would suggest when you submit that letter, you submit a copy of request to CSC just in case.

Hi Guys!

Just a quickie. Got my biometrics done the other day. it was a painless experience, I was the only person here so it took 5 minutes. The lady who took my biometrics was very friendly, she complimented my tattoos and we had a little chat. That was pretty much it. i was out of there in a heartbeat.

However, i keep on trying to check the status of my application on the USCIS website and it keeps on telling me that my case number cannot be found. It is quite irritating. I use the number on my ASC Appointment notice which is the same number that appeared on my NOA 1 and nothing. is anybody having any issues with it?

Hope everybody is doing great and i look forward to reading your posts.

Hi Guys!

Just a quickie. Got my biometrics done the other day. it was a painless experience, I was the only person here so it took 5 minutes. The lady who took my biometrics was very friendly, she complimented my tattoos and we had a little chat. That was pretty much it. i was out of there in a heartbeat.

However, i keep on trying to check the status of my application on the USCIS website and it keeps on telling me that my case number cannot be found. It is quite irritating. I use the number on my ASC Appointment notice which is the same number that appeared on my NOA 1 and nothing. is anybody having any issues with it?

That's strange that you got the same number on your bio appointment as your NOA1. I've never heard that before. Perhaps it would do good for you to call USCIS and ask to speak with an immigration officer. Maybe they can give you the right number or clarify why your number hasn't changed. It should be different. :yes:

my update,I got my ASC appiontment letter, my biometric dated on 20th Aug.Please update my imformation in the timeline list. thanks.

by the way, is that ok I just bring my passport with me when I go to the biometric appointment because I dont have other photo ID mentioned in thr letter.
