Biometrics letter received today, Notice date 7/27/2010, date of Biometrics appointment 08/24/2010; updating info.

On a side note, does the biometrics appointment date have any effect on the overall precessing time and approval of the I-751 petition ? and what does ESC (under service center) stands for ?

I'm pretty sure we got our RFE after the biometrics appointment during AOS.

Just checked the timeline and we did get the RFE about a month after the biometrics. What a doozy that was. They sent us two RFEs for something that didn't exist. After getting 3 documents from 3 different sources proving that what they wanted did not exist they finally let it go and stopped sending RFEs. We got the greencard very shortly after that.

All in all it only took four months to get the greencard, even with that RFE mess.

Hopefully this round will go smoothly for everyone.

I think so. Our biometrics case # didn't work either. I'm going to try again on Monday or Tuesday to see if anything comes up.

That stinks :( I think we sent enough but it seems like you never know. I've heard of people sending everything possible to people sending in two pages...and the ones in the middle got the RFEs!

There's no direct correlation that I've noticed between bio date and approval. We just have to hope we get lucky and have our petitions approved quickly. The ESC is the reference number for Vermont. :yes:

Nope. We can still get RFE'd or anything else USCIS wants. All biometrics says is that we have biometrics. :lol: After this the real waiting begins!

Re: the bio numbers not working I agree to give it a couple days and check again. Mine worked right after I got it but they say it takes a few days for some people to access the system. :yes:

Yeah. I don't know if there's any way of knowing until you either get an approval or RFE. As you said some people send hardly anything and others send a ton of stuff. I think at the end of the day the quality of what is sent is the biggest thing. If you send enough to demonstrate co-mingling of assets/liabilities and shared social life all should be well. :thumbs:

Completed early biometrics today! :dance: We got to the Kansas City office around 830am and there were a few people ahead of us. The people were so nice and we were out and done before 930. Nobody even asked us why we were there before the actual date. So, now the waiting goes on...

how does one request a change of date to get it done sooner?

Hi Spirit. I believe you can only change a bio appointment for a later date because supposedly they generate dates for us at the earliest possible time. However, if you feel up to it you can take your notice and try doing an early walk in biometrics and see if they take you. Some ASC's take walk ins and some don't, you'll just have to try and see or wait for your date and be guaranteed a slot. :thumbs:

Green card/residency card: email notice of approval – August 28th, 2008 yippeeeee!!!

Funny-looking card arrives – September 6th, 2008 :)

Mailed request to remove conditions – July 7, 2010

Landed permanent resident approved – August 23rd, 2010

Second funny looking card arrives – August 31st, 2010
