My wife's GC expires July 25, but she has to go to her country next year to finish college (or she will lose all four years she had done).

Dos she has to be here to start the I-751, or I can do by my self?

She will have a school break after (days) her GC expires, how can she enter the USA?

Hi,

here is the I-751 process in a nut-shell.

Applicant will receive a 1 year extension when USCIS receives the package, so she can still travel even after the expiration date on the GC - remember, 1 year extension.

Applicant must go for a biometrics which she should be present in the US for - so she might have to fly back for this if she is already outside the country.

Most applicants will not have an interview but some are randomly selected - keep that in mind.

Continuous residence - this is a rule that needs to be maintained by LPRs and if not, one can lose their residency.

You probably already did this, but I'll say it anyway: see about transfering and finishing in US. Or just start over in US. Depending on the degree, it will be worth it, since some "diplomas" are not valid from Brazil to US. I did graduate on Brazil, on psychology, but it is just a bachelor's degree in U.S., while in Brazil I'd be able to have patients and such, just to give an example. I found this out with the help of the World Education Services, google it and see if you think they could help you, but it is a paid service. The paid service also provided me a document in english I can show when I go look up for a job instead of just the plain translated diploma.
