Here we go! We are very excited. I checked, double checked, triple checked, and then checked a few more times! Everything is there! We are ready! I sent it overnight. They will receive it tomorrow. Wish us luck!

P.S. I am self employed, and I would like to prepare for the "proof of income" information I will need to provide. Does anyone know when this will be needed, and what will be needed? Thanks in advance!

income proof - is needed for the I-134 form, is shown on interview day, usually generated by YOU after NOA-2 date, sent to HER.

IMO, is 2 large chunks - for self-employed or business owner or business partner

--income tax paperwork

--audited income and assets sheets from a CPA

Many times, because of that schedule C or 'lingering assets', a 'true picture' of income isn't possible with JUST the tax paperwork, but an 'audited income and assets sheets' from a CPA 'reveals all'.

Review yer taxes first, see if you meet the 125 Percent OVER the poverty guidelines 'money tick' and if NOT -

go pay for this 'audited income and assets sheets' from a CPA, be prepared to pay for about 3 hours of CPA work/time.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Best of luck, you will probably have a great holiday season this year with your honey next to you.

As to preparing for providing support as a self employed individual, I had the same situation. You will need of course, two years of tax returns. In addition to that, you will need to supply twelve months of bank statements (front page only) showing deposits into your account that are sufficient enough to cover the gross income you reported on your tax return. The most recent year is sufficient, but I would probably extend it into the current year to provide back up as to sustained income. It's not really necessary that way but why not cover yourself.

Again, good luck and find stuff to keep you busy. The waiting is the hardest part.
