Me and my husband got married on March 27th, 2010 and last saw each other on April 10th. It's been almost 3 months and I am all ready dying inside without him. I don't know the next time I will be able to go to Serbia because it might be better for me to stay here and work till he gets his visa (which we are starting in August :0). We will see what happens, who knows maybe i decide to buy a ticket and just stay over there from october till whenever he gets the visa for here. This is such an emotional process and I haven't even started it.

honey,we are one yr married and only 4.5 months of that actually together in person...no birthdays,no new year,no xmass,no anniversary-very first one, instead on that day our will be nervewrecking because that's when they decided to give us interview...I certainly don't know why do they do this to people..it's ok 3 or 4 mos but a yr....c'mon. :(

Yeah seperation sucks. This last year of marriage we were together for 20 days. We have yet to celebrate a birthday together or Christmas (our daughter's 1st X-Mas was not spent together) or New Years. We missed our daughter's 1st birthday (which is a BIG deal in Peru) and our 1 year anniversary. This year we went be together for our birthday's again (in Sept.) I'm hoping we can be together by X-Mas. The last time my husband saw our daughter in person, she could barely hold her head up (3 1/2 months), now she is running and saying words and feeding herself and singing.

I certainly remember the days back before our daughter when we weren't married yet and I would bawl and bawl for ever after I had left him at the airport (and at the airport). I can't do that now.

I know that everyone's journey is hard on them in their own way. Hopefully they will all be over soon!

well the last time my wife and I saw each other was September of 2009 after our wedding. I, like most was naive to think this process will be fast.

Anyway, tried to get her here on a B2 and was told at the embassy by the CO she needs to have her husband file for her since he is a USC.

The past ten months has been very trying to say the least, especially for a newly weds. However, my encouraging words to my wife has been if we can make it through this process with our sanities intact, we can face any trouble that we eventually encounter.

while it has not been easy it helped us to get closer and figure out ways to deal with our issues even if separated by 5000 miles of ocean. Our one year anniversary is coming up and it seems so unfair that we might spend it apart because I do not have enough vacation time and let us not talk about plane fare to Ghana and then add the cost for vacation.

in short, ten months is a long time to be apart and I pray that one of these days, this nightmare, known as the immigration process will end and my wife and I will be reunited.
