Thanks again for ALL of your input.

I have an appointment with an Immigration Attorney in the morning who is going to inspect my passport and all of the relevant stamps / dates etc.

Paul

Paul, do you know what they call a person who graduates last in their class at law school?

A lawyer.

Not to discourage you, Paul, but this board is FULL of threads related to poor legal advice.... more 'what do I do NOW?' and 'why did I pay attorney fees for THIS?' sorts of questions. Good luck searching until you find someone who will tell you what you want to hear.

Best wishes,

Jen

Yeah I shouldn't have been a smart-a$$ but that's what I'm afraid Paul is trying to do.

Hopefully he WILL find a competent immigration attorney. They are out there.

I was once told to never take advice from one who is not a member of the AILA.

I feel sorry for Paul. I think I know what he's going through. When Wes would visit, I used to think.....10 more days till he has to go....5 more days....2 more days....

I used to get soooooooo mad at myself for spoiling the time we did have with those kinds of thoughts.

Paul, maybe you and your fiance should plan something grand like her coming to the UK when it's time for your interview. That would give you all something to look forward to.

I did the same thing 'Becca... we almost sabotaged David's last visit until we realized what we were doing and made a conscious decision to make it better.

It's a personal recommendation from a guy that's Vice President Senior Counsel @ a Fortune 500 company.

I'm sure they only use the best.

Thanks for your concern.

Not another one who is too smart for their own good and trying to weasel through the rules...

The rules in this case are black and white... There is gray in US Immigration... What you're trying to do is not one of them...

Paul...

It's time for you to take a breath.. take a step back and look at what you're doing.. you're putting a lot at risk long term for very little gain short term... The US Immigration system does not look too kindly at those who disobey the rules... do the right thing like I know you want to do...

Since when did Fortune 500 companies use immigration lawyers????

Kezzie

The way I read it, the Fortune 500 co. counsel recommended the immigration attorney he's going to be talking to...

hmm, I don't see weasely, I see understandable confusion. Like my own. How can we be *sure* he was not readmitted for another 90 days? It flies against most logic, but it *is* possible, isn't it? He says the I-94 has the new admission date---you know I'll defer to you on this one, zyg.

Paul: Curious as to why you'd choose the K-1? Is there something pressing you have to return to the UK for? Or just want to give things a bit more time (not a bad move, IMO). Just curious. You should have a good list of questions for the attorney meeting prepared ahead of time.

Maybe we should just say to the OP that we are happy he is going to overstay his visa and totaly #### up his being able to ever use the VWP again.... but I guess he will learn that when he has flown home and then tries to come back on the VWP and get sent home on the next flight at his own expence because he overstayed his last visit.....
