05/07/2010 - Married

06/15/2010 - I-130 Sent to Chicago Lockbox

06/17/2010 - I-130 Packet Delivered, signed for by L. BOX

06/22/2010 - NOA1 issued and mailed

06/24/2010 - Cheque Cashed ($355)

06/25/2010 - Received NOA 1 in mail

06/29/2010 - Touched

06/30/2010 - Touched :)

08/03/2010 - Touched :)

10/07/2010 - Touched :)

01/26/2011 - RFE

02/08/2011 - Sent USCIS our RFE

Touches don't mean very much, some get approved without any touches, some get touched a lot with no approvals in sight

I know a touch does not mean much. I am just curious to see if there is a pattern to USCIS goes by or not. :star:

No, there is no pattern. Your casefile has a bar code on it and when that case is handled, the bar code is scanned and that is a 'touch'. A touch could mean your file was counted, moved, or placed on an adjudicators desk. Don't put too much behind touches as it could just mean your file was moved from filing cabinet A to cabinet B due to a leaky pipe

I am new to this.......where does it show on the USCIS website that you have been "touched". VSC received our paperwork on May 6th, no more action since then.

"touch" is a Visa Journey term. On the USCIS site, under the "Last Updated" column, when that date changes, that's what we call a touch.
