My brother is a permanent resident of the United States and a Croatian passport holder. He has a ticket to go to Australia for a month and a half to visit relatives. The trip is from July 4 to August 18th. My question is does he need some sort of visa to visit australia?

Visa in hand Septmeber 30, 2011 (it would of been the same day as the interview but they requested some more info)

I'm no immigration expert but I think he will need to check into the visa laws of Australia to determine what sort of visa, if any he will need. He will have no trouble returning to the US with his passport and green card but he needs to check into Visa laws for visiting Australia. Thanks Mrs. Skull I found out that he does need a visa and it will take about 20 days from the day he sends in the application so we are postponing his ticket till the day he gets the visa
