I-130 Somewhere at the NVC

Our I-130 was approved and sent to the NVC and a case number was assigned.

All this happened in July, but still nothing from the NVC at all.

The recorded line says up to 8 weeks for us to get anything from them? Really? Even though our case is "current" because it is for a spouse?

I can't imagine waiting 8 weeks to get more forms only to have to send them in to get more forms and then to do the consulate wait too.

Our case was approved for expedite at the service center (due to serious medical issues), but the NVC doesn't recognize that approval and is on their own timline.

I did send the expedite request to them but got no response.

Anyone else get a case number from NVC around July 20th, 2006? Anyone get anything in the mail yet?

Approval Dates:

I130 Approved (NOA2) 7/20/06 (144 Days)

I129 Approved (NOA2) 8/24/06 (41 Days)

Documents we have so far:

Criminal/police record check.

Immunization records/medical history (including negative Tb, HIV, syphyllis, etc).

Chest x-ray.

His birth certificate (long form).

Our marriage certificate.

My divorce decree.

Our passports.

Wedding photos, cards, credit cards, health insurance, evidence of legitimate marriage.

Notarized I-134 and supporting documents.

Notarized I-184 and supporting documents.

Five additional passport photos each.
