On June 22, 2010 I completed a change of address online. The next day I received an email stating my case had already been approved and forwarded to the National Visa Center and I could no longer update my address with the NVC. I called to find out what the status of my case was and was told it was still pending and all, but 2 days later on June 24th, I received an email and text message saying my case was in fact approved on June 11, 2010.

I have concerns that since I have already moved I will not receive my NOA2 (maybe they do not allow the USPS to forward it to my new address). Is this even an issue, do I need it, or is it just nice to have? I understand once the NVC shows my case in their system I will in fact be able to update my address with the NVC.

If anyone would know anything that may be helpful to my situation I would greatly appreciate it. I did try searching the archives, but I did not find anything, if I missed it, I appologize.

Thanks,

JK

For a K-1 visa / I-129F petition -

There is some requirement, later on, to SHOW the NOA-2 when applying for the adjustment of status.

You should contact the old address (landlord, room mate, neighbor, whatever ) and make arrangements to capture your postal mail . You might have a nice surprise.

as for 'the rest of it' - no useful notices to be mailed to you, after NOA-2 - but some people DO LIKE the 'NVC notice' (some get it, some don't) that has wording about the new casefile # (GUZ20102342342xxx ) and that NVC has sent it to GUZ. Is informational only, not life-threatening/changing.
