Hi all,

Our case was closed on June 4th. I called NVC one time after the second week of June and NVC told me they have not scheduled my wife interview date.

They said the Embassy was backed up and that we didn't make the June or July interview dates. They told me may be we will make the August interview dates.

However, I believe NVC is just covering themselves with that statement. I have recieved the email today saying my wife will be interviewed on August 6!

So, for all of you who is waiting, NVC works pass the second week of each month setting up interview dates.

The last thing I would mention is not to bog them down with calls...it will only delay the process.

Call once or twice because as you probably know, it takes several tries to get through.

Amazingly the visa process as been pretty speedient for me...just make sure you read the instructions and submit the require documents.

I sent my ds230 and civil docs on june 6th and two days ago received letter with schedulled interview for august 26th....I always thought interview is about 1 month ahead but ours is 2 months..so we were wondering why...so you think is because of NVC or embassy is busy????

I know NVC told me that they schedule interviews on the second week of each month for the that month and the next month.

So kucenemacene, yours is scheduled in July so August is the next month.

NVC also told me that they schedule the interviews AFTER they talk to the embassy to see how busy the embassy are for that month and the next month.

Tex, are you going over to Vietnam for the interview? If so, you will see us there at 8 am in the morning.

Tickets are around $2000 right now.

Your interview date is not always scheduled for the month following the scheduling date. It depends on how busy your consulate is. Go by the date on the interview letter.

We received notification of our interview date last year in March for a May interview!
