Good morning all,

It is been few days since I wrote here because was in process to plan for a wedding, bought dress, he bought suits, church is confirmed, now we need cake, photos, and a place to have the wedding dinner..

The sad thing in all of this his family will not attend because they claiming they are busy.. His mom is upset because she wanted wedding in Arizona, but planning one where I am 100% busy with work and 2 major projects makes it difficult.

We choose Chicago since we both are here, and we can manage things around, plus he have cousins living here and my family is coming over.

I was so sad since Sunday and eyes tearing up.. He broke a fight with his mom yesterday because he thinks she is not being cooperative.

Anyway.. No social security yet.. He went to the USCIS last Monday they told him his name is missing some information that are still not there!!!

He went to social security office yesterday and they still don't have his name. The lady freaked him out saying by August 27th if your name does not show up then you will never have a social security. I told him this is a BS, you will have one when EAD is approved.

Then he did not believe me and called USCIS again and they said same thing when EAD is approved.

We are sending the AOS and EAD this morning, I have went over all papers 6 times, and will do it one last time before I hand it to him to mail it.

Great day out in Chicago.. Going to Springfield tomorrow for BBQ (customer meeting)

Any advice on SS...

Good morning! Can't believe we have RAIN in the forecast!!! Of course there are no clouds and blue

skies now, so when the drops begin to fall I will believe it! We treasure rain! Should get to 104 today.

We have no plans for the 4th. It's just too hot to watch the fireworks. We're talking 90 at 9 pm!

Will just have to watch all the celebrations from home!

Batta, sorry to hear about your wedding plans. I hope everything will be fine for the both

of you. Also hope you can get the SS card issue taken care of. Things will work out!!

Tomorrow I have the honor of appearing in court to dispute a ticket that I received thru

the mail for a parking ticket that wasn't mine. I just can't wait. All I can think of is "Speeders"!!! :lol:

The fun never ends!

Batta sorry about your frustration with SS. The wedding planning sounds exciting minus the family frustrations. I wish you both the best on your big day!

Jeanne I hope the rain cools things down for you all there a bit and you enjoy the fireworks on TV. I remember you telling us about this ticket dispute and I can't wait to hear the results of what happens.

I'm dragging along today. I went a bought a big coffee this morning and I can't even bring myself to drink it I'm so tired. It's getting cold now.

Hubby and I slept downstairs again last night. He said he was going to sleep upstairs this time but I told him I wasn't going to because I feel safer downstairs.

He then decided to study next to me while I was sleeping on the couch and he later fell asleep on the mat on the floor next to me again.

My heart was pounding with love when I was going to sleep because I knew he wanted to be near me so much lately.

Of all the places he could study and sleep he did it all within five feet of me even though I was so tired and not much company. :D

Also when we were talking on the porch last night my ring slipped off my finger while playing with it and

I lost the new ring he bought me as is bounced into the front flower bed of thick vines.

He jumped down there in the cobwebs, dirt & vines and searched with the windup bicycle light until he found it.

I thought it was lost for good but he told me it couldn't be since he bought it was halah money and that could never be wasted.

As I was falling asleep he played his song he dedicated from him to me when we were first getting together, "Hero," by Enrique Iglesias.

He was being so sweet and loving and romantic yesterday.

Good morning MENA!!! I'm sorry Batta for what you are going through... as far as the ss card, it depends on when immigration loads the information into ssa system.. they don't count the weekends.. it should not take as long as August.. when was the poe... i think with my husband he had it in a month i believe... i used to have that information on my page but later removed it for space sake... did they already apply for ssn or just going to the office to apply... Hey Jeanne, glad to see you... you're getting RAIN.. that's great... maybe it will cool it down some... are you going to the arab american festival on october 23-24... i would really love to go.. but we both have to work... everybody have a good day today... :thumbs::star:

Couldn't go to bed until 3:00 am last night. I just couldn't sleep. Woke up at 5:00 am with the hubster, then took another snooze from 7:00 to 7:45 am. Now I need a nap. :dead: I always say I need a nap and I usually never get to get any. :cry:

My GIL and I took the kids to the movies at 9:00 o'clock. Now they are napping *supposedly* and I have to do the dishes and some laundry in a little bit.

Batta, congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I'm sorry your in-laws are giving you heartache by refusing to attend your wedding. They will realize later that it was their loss not share your happiness with you. I hope they come around soon. The important thing is, your love is by your side. :)

Talking about SS BS...we applied for mine on May 4th and still haven't heard nothing from them. I am starting to treasure the Egyptian government's slow-mode compared to my SSN experience here. LOL

Jeanne, :wow:!! Good luck tomorrow, hun! It's kinda a sad-funny situation...

Olivia is head-over-heels in love with her hubster!! :wub: You just got me missing mine more :blush: I just love the moment he comes back home from work!! Even though he usually ends up falling asleep on the couch shortly after that. :lol:

Hey Aya... sorry you didn't get a chance to nap... habibi tells me that i need to take naps when i'm off and i never get a chance :crying: ... the musical thread is a great idea :thumbs::thumbs: ..... not sure what to tell you about the 4th as far as food... everytime i try to grill some thing, it gets charred :crying::rofl: so i alway burn-a-que not barbeque :rofl::bonk: i know potato salad is good and easy to make.. maybe hamburger, hot dogs and chicken.. i buy beef hot dogs... a nice summer salad would be good.. darn now i want a greek salad with yummy feta cheese and alfonzo olives.. ahhhh.. habibi went to logans for lunch today.. they have a special of a 3 course meal for 2 for 19.99.. i like the grilled salmon with dill butter sauce with grilled mushrooms and grilled vegetables..can't wait to get home to eat it.. yummy :thumbs::dance::dance:

Happy Tuesday MENA!

I had an early day at the hospital. The alarm went off at 4 am and I thought it was a joke! Thank goodness I realized that I really did need to get up!!!

I got home and Sameh was watching the match between Spain and Paraquay. I don't know if it was I stopped moving or what, but I went out like a light. So there ya go Aya, I took your nap!!!!:yes:

Sameh is out grilling small steaks and chicken on the barbee right now!! I made a nice fresh cole slaw and we'll figure out something else to go with it!

I think a music thread would be great!!!

I have that song on my ipod Olivia! Sameh calls it my mushy music!! Sometimes you just get in the mood for it!:luv:
