We sent in our I-130 today and as an after thought we thought about the G-1145. Obviously we cant send it in with the I-130 as its already in, but is there another point where we can send it in or are we SOL now?

06/18/2010 - Submitted I-130 pkg and cheque - Denied, missing information
07/07/2010 - Re-submitted pkg - Denied, same information incorrect or missing - pulling our hair out!
08/30/2010 - Re-submitted pkg AGAIN! this time tried a new answer on two questions.
09/03/2010 - received pkg
09/08/2010 - NOA-1 sent
09/13/2010 - Touched
12/13/2010 - NOA-2 Issued.
12/19/2010 - NOA-2 Hard Copy Received!
01/04/2011 - Received AOS Bill
02/01/2011 - Paid AOS Bill
02/23/2011 - Received IV Bill
03/29/2011 - Paid IV Bill
03/30/2011 - Mailed IV Packet
04/01/2011 - Mailed AoS Packet
04/21/2011 - RFE
04/29/2011 - Evidence Mailed in

Hi,

I filed on June 9th, and totally missed the G-1145. Thought I was SOL too, and would have to wait for snail mail. But once I received the paper NOA1, I registered here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do and entered my receipt number. Once I did that it told me when the I-130 was received as well as the last touch. So if I am not mistaken, it will tell me electronically about the NOA2, rather than having to wait for a response from regular mail. Maybe more experienced VJers are more informed about this one as well, and can tell you if I am correct or not.

Sounds good to me. :thumbs: I wasn't aware of the G-1145 when we submitted our petition last year but we did register on the USCIS site and we received email notification of any status changes and eventually our NOA2.

g-1145 - no, is a 'one-time dealio' for the I-130, useful only when included on initial I-130 submittal. IMO, impossible to 'catch it up' to the petition you filed, moments ago. Mailroom ops, lockbox ops, are huge, tonnes of paper, tonnes of casefiles, and now ya wanna 'catch up' something to the casefile ? The sheer enormity of 'finding the casefile' to 'add the G-1145' would be 'cost-prohibitive', IMO, on the 'human workforce' at USCIS.

There are other 'timeticks' for status on yer casefile, though..

--check cashed (will know from yer bank )

--NOA-1 (receipt notice )

plus the rest of 'stuff' after NOA-1 .
