Thanks, can you or someone give me a sample of how I should write it? Honestly, I'm pretty distraught right now and cannot even think clearly.

I greatly appreciate it!

There is no particular way to write the letter. It is OK to wait until you are less distraught.

Basically say that you wish to withd4raw your petition for (name of fiancee). You do not have to give details, it is not important. Besure to include your name as petitioner, her name a beneficiary and the USCIS case bumber in the heading. Send it USPS delivery confirmation to the service center you sent your petition to.

Now, do not be surpirsed if the letter falls on deaf ears and in a few weeks or months you get the news that your petition has been approved. Makes no difference. No one can get a visa without you providing an affidavit of support. If the petition is approved, simply ignore it, it will die all on its own in 4 months when no visa is applied for. In the future, if you do another petition, simply explain this one was withdrawn and include a copy of the letter you mail with any waiver request for another petition.

If it wasn't going to work, be glad you found out now.
