Hi, I have my husbands I-130, I-485,I693,I-864m -131 & I-765 done and ready to go with a cover letter listing everything included. It is three pages long. I plan on submitting it all together in one envelope with the cover letter and then having each package clipped together. The I-485 is huge because it includes the I-693&I-864. Our I-864 is very large because I am using my assets and had to prove them.

For people who submitted before, did you put page numbers on the cover sheets and number each item, or would this confuse USCIS because they may number them a different way when they do them. I read the guides here and the USCIS website and couldn't find anywhere where they asked for page numbers, so unless I hear differently, I will just send in the package as it currently is.

I don't think you should do page numbers. The cover letter should be sufficient. That's what we did anyway!

I didn't even have a cover letter. But what I did was I put i-130 (+ docs) in its own envelope, i-485 in its own envelope, and i-765 in its own envelope too. I labeled each envelope according to the name of the form. Then I put everything into a bigger envelope and that is how i sent my AOS

I don't think there is one rule of how you should send the forms. Many people do it slightly differently and they have all been OK.

The most important thing is to double check how you filled out the forms. Have you answered all the questions? Did you put signatures in the right spots? Did you put your names on your passport photos correct amount on checks, correct USCIS address.. stuff like that is more important than how the packet is assembled

You should have I-864 on I-130 too. I didn't put page numbers on mine. I just had a cover letter and the table of contents where I noted that the "documents submitted in exact order".

Im not so sure what pixie is trying to say here but for clarification, the I-864 is to be submitted with and included under the I-485 for AOS...

I mentioned that she include I-864 because of what she mentioned above.

My I-130 included an I-864 form & supporting documents as instructed on the I-864 form. We attached another I-864 form & supporting documents with the I485 as it was also needed with this form. Please refer to paragraph below.

A sponsor completes and signs Form I-864. A sponsor isrequired to be at least 18 years old and domiciled in theUnited States, or its territories or possessions (see Step-by-step Instructions for more information on domicile). Thepetitioning sponsor must sign and complete Form I-864, evenif a joint sponsor also submits an I-864 to meet the incomerequirement. The list below identifies who must becomesponsors by completing and signing a Form I-864.

Who Completes and Signs Form I-864?

The U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident who filed aForm I-130 for a family member, Form I-129F for afiance(e), or Form I-600 or I-600A for an orphan.

You don't need I-864 for I-130.

Pixie, in your quote it just says that the petitioner of I-130 must complete I-864. But it goes with I-485.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your help. Just to clarify, I am sending in I-130, I-485 (including I-693 & I-864), I-131, I-765 and G-1145. I have the package ready to go and of course, my printer ink ran out halfway through copying it. Off to the copy shop and then to Fex Ex and back here to put our info on the June 2010 filers board.

I read instructions before filling out the forms and I just did what it asked me to do. I have not read anything that says that if I'm adjusting status I don't need to submit an I-864 together with my I-130, there is nothing wrong if I want all areas covered than be sorry.

How we go about our application packets depend on how we interpret the instructions. I don't think that there is anyone here that has not read the instructions of each form over and over and so I feel that the comment above is unfair and unnecessary. A constructive comment would have been more appropriate..i.e Besangel's post as quoted below..
