Bump.....

Howdy... any news on your process dude? Just wondering if you stopped by the Cambodian thread yet. Keep us updated

Sam,

Sam -

I have just sent in the cancellation withdraw letter to the USCIS notifying them of my intentions and will be refiling there after. I have checked out the Khmer threads, while they are good info it's dated back in 07-08, nothing really current. I sent a question to one of the guys on that thread who was offering assistance. Do you know if by chance if the notice needs to come first or can I just send in my new I-129F petition and the old one will automatically cancel without any of the issues of the P6C or other response notices? thank

i'm sorry to hear about this ordeal your fiancee and you are going through. But as one of the previous poster said, try doing snail mails, to prove more about the relationship. When my husband and I did the K-1, the immigration specialist we hired had advised us to email each other once a week for 8 weeks or even until the interview time. For your case, maybe she can print off your previous emails? I read you guys kind of did the one-way messaging, but a snail mail doesn't sound bad at all for proof of the relationship. Also the bills from your texts, they'll show the cellphone number you sent out the texts to so she can use that for proof.

Have you tried rebtel? it's a calling service that provides cheaper minutes, check it out on www.rebtel.com and it will also show the list of numbers you called.

I hope you guys get approved with your next interview. I understand this must be hard on both of you right now having given a hard time by immigration. God bless and good luck on which ever route you guys will do to go past all this.

I think i recall you are now married. I think you should send in the I-130 now since your status is now husband. I'm not sure if you could send it now or not but I'm sure someone more experienced would be able to answer that here in the forums.

Hi weds...It's a little more complicated since she lives in a small village far away from the city. I suggested some things but since she isn't from a major city, it's going to be very hard for him to get letters sent out there because the postal system in Cambodia is confusing and unreliable.

Thank you for you comments and suggestions. Where my fiancee is from, they don't even have a snail mail system, nor an physical address, unbelievable I know. it's like 1800's where she lives. I use a calling card that costs me $2 and it gives me anywhere from 42-58 mins of talk time. I burn through at least 2 of these everyday. rebtel and skype are far more expensive than the calling cards.

What I am trying to do now is front load a lot of the paperwork before it gets to the embassy. Even though I did a lot of that in the first petition, the consulate officer went rogue on me and just did his own thing. I should have asked to talk with his supervisor at the time of the interview. One of the primary focus is getting my fiancee's english up to speed. thanks again.

regards,

pete
