Hey all!! Thanks so much to Trompe and Maven for keeping you guys updated. I tried to get to VJ from my phone but had horrid luck getting it to load so I could navigate properly.

Long story as short as can be - skip if labor details bore you! Contractions started Friday a.m. around 6. Were 5 mins apart for 2 hours from 6:45 pm - 8:45 pm which is when we were told to go to hospital. Get there, not dilated, even after walking the ward for an hour. Sent home around 12:30 am Saturday with demerol/phenegren shot. Told to come back when I was climbing the walls in pain (gee thanks). Laid on bed at 1 am, contractions now 3-4 mins apart and coming HARD. At 4:30, had contraction w/ what I thought was a kick - instead it was the 'pop' of my water breaking! Mess cleaned partially by Chas, we go back to hospital, arrive 5:30 am. Epidural on board at 6:45. Around 11:30, had 'hot spot' on left side near hip bone where I could feel all contractions (by this point was dilated to 6). Some more epi meds took edge off until about 12:15 (7 cm). Epi doc had an emergency, doesn't come back to give more meds until 1, by which point I was nearly dying, LOL. Felt every contraction whether I liked it or not! They check me after he gives meds - hey, fully dilated, let's push!! LMAO. This was about 1:15 pm. PETRIFIED I would feel pushing but didn't. Emily Anne born about 30 mins later at 1:49 pm. :) :)

Right now she is asleep on his chest on the couch and he is asleep too. LOL so that gave me time to post.

HAPPY but tired, still getting the hang of what I'm doing but Chas is a NATURAL and a pro, giving me tips. (He has done more feedings as I have been zonked out some while in hospital recovering.) Thanks for all the well wishes, my VJ friends!!!!!!!
